In "Tradewinds 2(TM)" players can create a vast trading empire in the Caribbean by choosing one of several unique and customizable characters. Players amass a fortune buying and selling goods, engaging in land and sea battles, and plundering enemy ships to earn enough gold to buy new ships, upgrades, and enchanted items. "Tradewinds 2(TM)" features two game modes and over sixty hours of gameplay.

"'Tradewinds 2(TM)' bridges the old and the new," said Daniel Bernstein, CEO and President, Sandlot Games. "Players who enjoyed the original 'Tradewinds(TM)' will find everything they loved about it in this game, and much more. New players will really be drawn into the 'Tradewinds(TM) 2' lore. You can be a master commander, defeating pirates and plundering their gold. You can play it safe and trade goods, gradually amassing wealth and power. You can trade contraband, risking seizures, but reaping larger returns. It's up to you. It's your world to explore."

"We're proud to release 'Tradewinds 2(TM)' to millions of Shockwave.com customers who enjoyed the original 'Tradewinds(TM),'" said Peter Glover, VP of Games of Shockwave.com. "Our customers will really appreciate the quality and depth of 'Tradewinds 2(TM),' which is available now on www.shockwave.com."
